Last night I went in my daughter's room to tuck her in and turn out the light. She had started a new book.
"The animals can talk, in Narnia," she said thoughtfully. "The beavers can. And going through the wardrobe is cool."

As a child, Narnia was right up there with Oz as Fantasy Land I'd Most Like to Visit..
It is funny... when I found out as an adult that Narnia had a whole Christian thing going, it kind of soured me on it. But Max had been asking about it, and we found a cool retro-looking hardback of THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE at Powell's this summer, so I read it aloud to my boys and my nephews during our camping trip. It was still just as magical to me as it was when I was a kid!
