I have a guest post of sorts up today at author Laurel Snyder's blog, about one of my favorite authors, Edward Eager: Eager Readers Backwards Blog Tour. I'm in astonishingly illustrious company, because the first guest post was from author Mitali Perkins.
Snyder has a new book out, Any Which Wall, which she says is an Edward Eager tribute. I'm looking forward to it.

I do recommend reading more Nesbit --- if you enjoy books of that time period (e.g. Grahame, Burnett). She's sharper in tone, witty as hell, and more. I recommend in particular Five Children and It and The Story of the Amulet. (Oh, and do keep in mind that she is a writer of her time --- in terms of race stuff ---otherwise you may find some of it hard to take. On the other hand, she's got some wild ideas of the future in Amulet!)
